Day 01
Arrival in Sri Lanka / Colombo
- Arrive in the capital city and settle into a colonial-style hotel or a modern stay near the coast
- Evening walk through old Colombo — pass by the Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple and bustling markets
- Watch sunset at Galle Face Green as locals fly kites and sip iced Milo
Day 02
Colombo to Kalpitiya
- Drive north to the windswept peninsula of Kalpitiya, a haven for marine life and remote beach stays
- Stop en route at the Munneswaram Hindu Temple to witness vibrant rituals and colourful architecture
- Check into a serene beach cabana and relax by the Indian Ocean
Day 03
Dolphin Watching and Lagoon Life
- Set out early for dolphin watching across the deep blue, witness pods of spinner dolphins dancing across the waves
- Afternoon paddleboarding or canoe ride through Kalpitiya Lagoon and its quiet mangrove ecosystem
- Evening bonfire and fresh seafood dinner under a sky full of stars
Day 04
Kalpitiya to Wilpattu National Park
- Head to Wilpattu, Sri Lanka’s oldest and largest national park, dotted with natural sand-rimmed lakes
- Afternoon jeep safari in search of leopards, sloth bears and giant eagles
- Overnight in a boutique eco-lodge bordering the jungle
Day 05
Full Day Wilpattu Safari with Cultural Stop
- Spend the full day on safari trails, tracking wildlife and listening to your ranger’s ancient forest tales
- Stop by Thanthirimale Temple, a rarely-visited sacred site carved into rock, where monks live in peaceful silence
- Return to your lodge for a sunset drink beneath tree canopies
Day 06
Transfer to Trincomalee
- Travel east to the sunny shores of Trincomalee, where history and ocean meet
- Explore Fort Frederick, built by the Portuguese and later occupied by the Dutch and British
- Visit Koneswaram Temple, perched on a cliff with sweeping views over the sea
Day 07
Pigeon Island and Tamil Coastal Culture
- Snorkel at Pigeon Island National Park, a marine sanctuary filled with coral gardens and reef sharks
- Back onshore, walk through Trinco’s fish markets and try Tamil-style seafood curry
- Optional evening puja at the temple or local drumming session at your hotel
Day 08
Journey to Gal Oya National Park
- Head south to Gal Oya, one of the country’s most peaceful and untouched wildlife havens
- Evening boat safari across Sri Lanka’s largest reservoir, see elephants swimming between islands

Vedda Tribe Encounter / Transfer to Arugam Bay
